Il servizio di addestramento alla lingua inglese
avanzata è una attività formativa offerta agli studenti
dei corsi magistrali della Facoltà di Ingegneria, con la
finalità di incrementare il loro livello di conoscenza
della lingua. Il servizio è espletato con l’ausilio di un
laboratorio linguistico e si articola in 24 ore di
didattica frontale.
Il servizio ha l’obiettivo di portare la conoscenza e la
comprensione della lingua inglese degli studenti ad
un livello comparabile al B2 CEFR (Common
European Framework of Reference for Languages),
valutato da una apposita commissione di docenti
della Facoltà.
Capacità di applicare conoscenze e comprensione.
La conoscenza di una lingua dell’Unione Europea in
generale, e della lingua inglese in particolare, è
importante nel processo formativo degli studenti. Le
conoscenze linguistiche sono applicate sia allo studio
delle discipline ingegneristiche, per la consultazione
di testi e di documentazione a diffusione
internazionale, e sia per fruire di eventuali seminari,
lezioni ed eventi offerti in lingua inglese.
Pertanto, il livello di conoscenza della lingua deve
essere tale da consentire agli studenti un agevole
lettura di testi internazionali e la piena partecipazione
alle attività culturali svolte in lingua inglese.

linguistica derivano dalle maggiori capacità di
relazioni internazionali degli studenti.
Knowledge and Understanding.
The teaching of the Advanced level of the English language is an educational activity offered to the students of the master's courses of the Faculty of Engineering, with the aim to increase their level of knowledge of the language. The service is carried out with the help of a language laboratory and is divided into 24 hours of frontal teaching. The service aims at bringing the students’ knowledge and understanding of the English language ad a level comparable to the B2 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), evaluated by a special commission of teachers of the Faculty.
Capacity to apply Knowledge and Understanding.
The knowledge of a language of the European Union in general, and of the English language in particular, is important in the training process of students. The language skills are applied both to the study of Engineering disciplines, for consultation of international texts and documentation, and to take advantage of any seminars, lessons and events offered in English. Therefore, the level of proficiency in the language must be such as to allow students a comfortable reading of international texts and full participation to the cultural activities carried out in English.
Transversal Skills.
Transversal skills associated with the language learning derive from the students’ greater skills of international relations.
Lezioni:
Strutture grammaticali: used to, get/be used to, countable and uncountable nouns, articles, past perfect simple and continuous, modal verbs, future forms, reported speech, passive, zero, first, second, third and mixed conditional, relative clauses and pronouns, gerunds and infinitives, prepositions.
Lessico: relativo agli ambiti riguardanti la salute, social media e amicizia, l’istruzione, i viaggi, le diverse culture, la natura, il cibo, l’ambiente, lo sport, la moda, il lavoro.
Esercitazioni:
Preparazione all’esame per la certificazione B2: Reading, Listening, Speaking e Writing.
Lessons:
Grammatical structures: used to, get / be used to, countable and uncountable nouns, articles, past perfect simple and continuous, modal verbs, future forms, reported speech, passive, zero, first, second, third and mixed conditional, relative clauses and pronouns, gerunds and infinitives, prepositions.
Lexicon: relating to areas such as health, social media and friendship, education, travel, different cultures, nature, food, the environment, sport, fashion, work.

Exam preparation for the B2 certification: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing.
Il livello di apprendimento degli studenti viene valutato attraverso una prova scritta, composta da quattro parti(Reading, Listening, Writing e Speaking).
Criteri di valutazione dell'apprendimento.
Per superare con esito positivo l’esame, lo studente deve dimostrare di conoscere la grammatica ed il lessico inglesi a livello B2 del QCER. Deve inoltre essere in grado di comprendere un brano scritto e una conversazione registrata tramite esercizi del tipo scelta multipla e/o vero/falso. Deve inoltre saper scrivere un brano su uno degli argomenti trattati a lezione.
Criteri di misurazione dell'apprendimento.
Viene attribuito un voto in trentesimi, con eventuale lode.
Il voto minimo per il superamento dell’esame è 18/30.
Criteri di attribuzione del voto finale.
Perché l’esito della valutazione sia positivo, lo studente deve conseguire almeno 18 punti. La lode potrà essere attribuita agli studenti che raggiungano il voto massimo di 30/30 e dimostrino di essere in grado di applicare autonomamente conoscenze e competenze acquisite.
Learning Evaluation Methods.
Students' learning level is assessed through a written test, consisting of four parts (Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking).
Learning Evaluation Criteria.
To pass the exam successfully, the students must demonstrate knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary at B2 level of the CEFR. They must also be able to understand a written passage and a recorded conversation through exercises of the multiple choice and / or true / false type. They must also be able to write an essay on one of the topics studied.
Learning Measurement Criteria.
A mark out of thirty is awarded, with possible honors.
The minimum mark for passing the exam is 18/30..
Final Mark Allocation Criteria.
For the outcome of the assessment to be positive, the student must achieve at least 18 points. The honors can be awarded to students who reach a maximum score of 30/30 and demonstrate that they are able to independently apply the knowledge and skills acquired..
