Conoscenza di base dei rapporti spaziali e volumetrici in architettura, di confronto con il contesto di intervento, capacità grafiche, con conoscenze basilari di software di disegno digitale.
Basic knowledge of spatial and volumetric relationships in architecture, of dialogue with a given urban context, graphic skills with basic knowledge of digital drawing software.
Il corso viene svolto attraverso lezioni frontali, lezioni seminariali, revisioni pubbliche aperte. Il corso prevede inoltre il diretto coinvolgimento degli studenti attraverso esercitazioni su letteratura specialistica, argomenti specifici inerenti il tema d’anno, progetti di riferimento. Lo studio degli aspetti teorici si svolge singolarmente mentre le esercitazioni si svolgono in gruppi di due/tre persone. Ogni gruppo è incaricato di lavorare su temi specifici e di riportare ai colleghi i risultati del lavoro di ricerca mediante presentazioni power point. Il corso prevede la seguente ripartizione delle ore: Lezioni - 50 ore; Esercizi - 40 ore.
The course is carried out through lectures, seminars, open public reviews. The course also includes the direct involvement of students through exercises on specialized literature, specific topics related to the yearly subject, reference projects. The study of the theoretical background is personal, whereas exercises can be worked in groups of two/three persons. Each group is in charge of specific topics and of presenting the research results to the other students through power points presentations. The course is conceived with the following time schedule: Lectures - 50 hours; Exercises - 40 hours

Il corso prevede l’approfondimento della teoria e pratica del progetto architettonico inserito nel contesto urbano. Con un approccio trasversale, attraverso scale diverse e aspetti multidisciplinari del progetto, il corso parte dall’analisi urbana di un contesto per arrivare alla definizione di un progetto architettonico che possa includere includere visioni spaziali e studio di aspetti tecnici dell’edificio. In questo processo di affinamento progressivo del progetto attraverso le scale, vengono fornite le necessarie conoscenze teoriche, le competenze tecniche e gli strumenti a supporto dello svolgimento del lavoro progettuale, con particolare attenzione a: studio del contesto territoriale e paesaggistico e del tessuto urbano, rapporto architettura e città, aspetti di carattere programmatico dell’edificio all’interno di una più ampia visione strategica a scala urbana, aspetti legati alla struttura dell’edificio (intesa come articolazione dei volumi, ma anche come sistema costruttivo), alla funzionalità e spazialità dell’architettura, allo studio dell’involucro, delle aperture, della trasparenza/opacità della pelle dell’edificio, delle performance ambientali e della sostenibilità, nonché della relazione che esso, soprattutto quando edificio collettivo, è in grado di stabilire con l’ambiente circostante. Particolare attenzione è inoltre dedicata al tema del riciclo urbano e architettonico, con l’idea che il recupero e la rigenerazione di strutture preesistenti, soprattutto in territori sismici come le Marche, siano oggi i temi cruciali con cui i futuri progettisti dovranno sapersi confrontare, anche in ottica di progettazione sostenibile.
The course focuses on the theory and practice of architectural design in the bigger framework of its urban context. With a cross-cutting approach, through different scales and multidisciplinary aspects of design, the course starts from the urban analysis of a context up to the definition of an architectural design project that might include also visions as well as technical aspects of the building. In this progressive refinement of the design project through the scales, the class provides the necessary theoretical background, as well as the technical skills and tools to support the development of the design work, with particular attention to: study of the territorial and landscape context and the urban fabric, relationship between architecture and the city, activities programme of the building within a broader strategic vision at the urban scale, aspects related to the building structure (volumes’ articulation and structural system), to the functionality and spatiality of the project, to the study of the facade, the openings, the transparency / opacity of the building skin, the environmental performance and sustainability, as well as the relationship that the new structure is able to establish with the surrounding environment, especially when it is a collective public building. Particular attention is dedicated to the topic of urban and architectural recycle, with the idea that the repair and regeneration of existing structures, especially in earthquake areas such as the Marche Region, are today the crucial issues that future designers will have to deal with, especially considering sustainability aspects.
