RISULTATI DI APPRENDIMENTO ATTESI LEARNING OUTCOMES
Knowledge and Understanding.

The first module builds on the principles of banking and financial intermediation and aims to provide an understanding of the theory of financial intermediation, financial markets, and the main financial instruments, with some hints of fundamentals of the modern capital market theory. The second module addresses the topics of financial innovation and FinTech and provides an overview on origin and evolution of the FinTech environment and FinTech companies, with the main technological innovations in finance.


Capacity to apply Knowledge and Understanding.

Case studies are going to be discussed in order to enforce, practically, the understanding of knowledge.


Transversal Skills.

Interdisciplinary perspectives are going to be privileged, from data management to analytics, from computer science to marketing.

PROGRAMMA PROGRAM

Principles of banking and financial intermediation, theory of financial intermediation, financial markets, and financial instruments, with some hints on the modern capital market theory.
Then, a focus on the different typologies of Fintech is offered: Peer-to-peer lending, social trading, crowdfunding, equity crowdfunding, artificial intelligence and machine learning in finance, cryptocurrencies, blockchain and Initial Coin Offerings. Digital applications and case studies will be presented within the course to apprehend the functioning of FinTech environment and its main financial innovations, also using Big Data applications.
