MODALITÀ DI SVOLGIMENTO DEL CORSO DEVELOPMENT OF THE COURSE

Il corso si svolgerà principalmente attraverso il lavoro in aula. Inoltre, per facilitare il feedback da parte del docente, nonché il reperimento di materiale utile per esercitarsi durante le ore necessariamente da dedicare allo studio individuale, è previsto l’utilizzo della piattaforma e-learning della Facoltà.

Students will take part in a variety of activities in the classroom. In addition, they will be making use of the Faculty e-learning platform, both in order to facilitate feedback and as a means of accessing material for the required hours of self-study.


RISULTATI DI APPRENDIMENTO ATTESI LEARNING OUTCOMES
Conoscenze e comprensione.

Il corso mira al raggiungimento del livello B2 (intermedio-alto) nella lingua inglese e, nello specifico, sarà propedeutico al conseguimento della certificazione Cambridge Assessment B2.


Capacità di applicare conoscenze e comprensione.

L’insegnamento permette agli studenti di comprendere ed esercitare le abilità linguistiche. Inoltre, essi lavoreranno sia per potenziare la conoscenza della struttura e dell’uso appropriato della lingua inglese, sia per allargare il proprio bagaglio lessicale.


Competenze trasversali.

Al termine del corso gli studenti avranno acquisito, in parte (Modulo I) o complessivamente (Modulo II), gli strumenti necessari per affrontare l’esame di certificazione Cambridge Assessment B2 First.


Knowledge and Understanding.

The course is designed to help students reach B2 level (upper-intermediate) in the English language. More specifically, the Cambridge Assessment B2 First qualification will be focused on.


Capacity to apply Knowledge and Understanding.

Students will become aware of and practise language skills. They will enhance their awareness of structure and usage, as well as boost their command of the lexical system.


Transversal Skills.

At the end of the course students will have a preliminary (Module 1) or complete (Module 2) knowledge of the competence, skills and techniques necessary for passing the Cambridge Assessment B2 First exam.

Modulo I (3 crediti)
– parte comune agli insegnamenti International Economics and Commerce, Management della Sostenibilità ed Economia Circolare, Data Science per l’Economia e le Imprese –
1) Abilità linguistiche passive (lettura e scrittura)
2) Format e ‘tasks’ (attività d’esame) dei Papers Reading and Use of English e Listening dell’esame Cambridge Assessment B2 First
3) Struttura, ‘usage’ e lessico della lingua inglese [Grammar and Vocabulary for Cambridge First, Units 1-6]
4) Particolarità della lingua inglese parlata.

Modulo II (3 crediti)
– solo International Economics and Commerce –
5) Abilità linguistiche attive (scrittura, produzione orale, interazione orale)
6) Format e ‘tasks’ (attività d’esame) dei Papers Writing e Speaking dell’esame Cambridge Assessment B2 First
7) Struttura, ‘usage’ e lessico della lingua inglese [Grammar and Vocabulary for Cambridge First, Units 7-14].

Module 1 (3 credits)

1) Receptive language skills (reading and listening)
2) Formats and tasks in Papers Reading and Use of English and Listening of the Cambridge Assessment B2 First exam
3) Structure, usage and lexis in the English language [Grammar and Vocabulary for Cambridge First, Units 1-6]
4) Spoken English: characteristics of the spoken language.

Module 2 (3 credits)
– International Economics and Commerce –
5) Productive language skills (writing, oral production, oral interaction)
6) Formats and tasks in Papers Writing and Speaking of the Cambridge Assessment B2 First exam
7) Structure, usage and lexis in the English language [Grammar and Vocabulary for Cambridge First, Units 7-14]


MODALITÀ DI SVOLGIMENTO DELL'ESAME DEVELOPMENT OF THE EXAMINATION
Modalità di valutazione dell'apprendimento.

Modulo I
L’esame consisterà in una prova scritta.

Modulo II
L’esame verrà registrato, sulla base della ‘Tabella Riconoscimento Certificazioni Internazionali’ della Facoltà, all’atto della presentazione da parte dello studente di un certificato a livello B2 o superiore emesso da uno degli enti riconosciuti nella tabella succitata. Per convalidare il proprio certificato lo studente si deve iscrivere ad uno degli appelli d’esame e presentarsi con il certificato in originale.


Criteri di valutazione dell'apprendimento.

Modulo I
Gli studenti dovranno dimostrare di aver raggiunto delle competenze a livello B2 nella capacità di comprendere sia l’inglese scritto che l’inglese parlato.

Modulo II
L’esame verrà registrato, sulla base della ‘Tabella Riconoscimento Certificazioni Internazionali’ della Facoltà, all’atto della presentazione da parte dello studente di un certificato a livello B2 o superiore emesso da uno degli enti riconosciuti nella tabella succitata. Per convalidare il proprio certificato lo studente si deve iscrivere ad uno degli appelli d’esame e presentarsi con il certificato in originale.


Criteri di misurazione dell'apprendimento.

Modulo I
Il voto sarà espresso in trentesimi. Lo studente supererà l’esame se otterrà almeno 18.

Modulo II
L’esame verrà registrato, sulla base della ‘Tabella Riconoscimento Certificazioni Internazionali’ della Facoltà, all’atto della presentazione da parte dello studente di un certificato a livello B2 o superiore emesso da uno degli enti riconosciuti nella tabella succitata. Per convalidare il proprio certificato lo studente si deve iscrivere ad uno degli appelli d’esame e presentarsi con il certificato in originale.


Criteri di attribuzione del voto finale.

Modulo I
Il voto finale verrà attribuito sulla base dell’esito della prova scritta. Gli studenti che dimostreranno un’ottima capacità nelle abilità linguistiche passive otterranno la lode.

Modulo II
L’esame verrà registrato, sulla base della ‘Tabella Riconoscimento Certificazioni Internazionali’ della Facoltà, all’atto della presentazione da parte dello studente di un certificato a livello B2 o superiore emesso da uno degli enti riconosciuti nella tabella succitata. Per convalidare il proprio certificato lo studente si deve iscrivere ad uno degli appelli d’esame e presentarsi con il certificato in originale.

To validate their certificate, students have to sign up to one of the official ‘appelli d’esame’ and present their original copy.


Learning Measurement Criteria.

Module 1
The final mark is out of 30. The pass mark is 18.

Module 2
Students' marks will be registered on the basis of the Faculty’s ‘Tabella Riconoscimento Certificazioni Internazionali’, once they have been awarded the required grade from one of the recognized examining bodies. To validate their certificate, students have to sign up to one of the official ‘appelli d’esame’ and present their original copy.


Final Mark Allocation Criteria.

Module 1
The final mark will be based on the results of the written test. Students who demonstrate an excellent command of passive linguistic skills will be awarded a special mention (cum laude).

Module 2
Students' marks will be registered on the basis of the Faculty’s ‘Tabella Riconoscimento Certificazioni Internazionali’, once they have been awarded the required grade from one of the recognized examining bodies. To validate their certificate, students have to sign up to one of the official ‘appelli d’esame’ and present their original copy.
