Le lingue di insegnamento del corso integrato Informatica e inglese sono italiano ed inglese.
The teaching languages for the course in Informatics and English are Italian and English.
I prerequisiti richiesti allo studente per una proficua partecipazione al corso integrato sono conoscenze informatiche di base (utilizzo del computer e principali applicazioni del Pacchetto Office) e conoscenze linguistiche in lingua inglese di livello base/intermedio (A2/B1 secondo il Quadro comune europeo di riferimento per la conoscenza delle lingue).
The knowledge required to students to successfully participate in the course are basic skills in Information Science (use of the computer and the main Office Apps) and a knowledge of English at an elementary/intermediate level (A2/B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Il corso si svolgerà in modalità integrata (convenzionale ed a distanza). Gli studenti avranno anche la possibilità di fruire di materiale didattico e svolgere esercitazioni per il modulo di Inglese nella piattaforma informatica Moodle ad integrazione della didattica erogata in aula.
The course is arranged in an integrated modality (in-person and virtual). The students will also have the chance of exploiting learning materials and doing exercise online on the Moodle platform for the English module.
Gli studenti svilupperanno conoscenze informatiche di base sull'utilizzo dei principali programmi di produttività individuale (fogli elettronici, presentazioni, elaboratori di testo, programmi di navigazione in rete e posta elettronica) e conoscenze linguistiche in lingua inglese di livello intermedio. Gli studenti saranno in grado di comprendere testi e conversazioni semplici, su tematiche note, in lingua inglese in contesti familiari accademici e sociali.
Capacità di applicare conoscenze e comprensione.
Al termine modulo di Informatica gli studenti avranno una preparazione di base idonea a produrre un testo scritto in formato elettronico, elaborare delle informazioni mediante un foglio elettronico, configurare un programma di posta elettronica ed essere in grado di attingere ad informazioni in rete.
A termine del modulo di Inglese, il discente comprenderà i concetti principali di testi e conversazioni in lingua inglese inerenti ad ambiti familiari e di interesse professionale, oltre che di attualità, attingendo informazioni con buona autonomia da reali programmi televisivi e radiofonici. Inoltre, il discente sarà in grado di esprimersi in lingua inglese in maniera semplice e coerente su temi noti come lo studio, il lavoro, gli interessi personali, e potrà interagire nelle comunicazioni orali e scritte manifestando le proprie opinioni ed intenzioni, condividendo esperienze ed ambizioni, contribuendo con suggerimenti e motivazioni.
Competenze trasversali.
Il corso integrato mira a sviluppare le cosiddette “soft skills” dei discenti per
prepararli meglio ad affrontare la vita universitaria e professionale, anche
nell’ottica di un futuro percorso di studio e/o lavoro in contesti
internazionali, in particolare le capacità di: interazione e comunicazione,
anche in ambienti cosmopoliti e multiculturali, lavorare in gruppo,
esercitare il pensiero critico, utilizzare strumenti tecnologici e programmi
informatici di base, anche per scopi di istruzione e formazione.
Knowledge and Understanding.
Students will gain knowledge in the field of Informatics (Excel, Power Point, Word, use of Internet and e-mails) and knowledge of English at an intermediate level. Students will also be able to understand simple texts and conversations in English on common topics in familiar academic and social settings.
Capacity to apply Knowledge and Understanding.
At the end of the Informatics module, students will have a basic training to write e-texts, processing data in an Excel file, setting an e-mail inbox and searching for information on the Internet.
At the end of the English module, students will understand the main ideas of texts and conversations in English related to familiar topics, professional interestes, current affairs, indipendently collecting information from real TV and radio programmes. Moreover, students will be able to express themselves in English in a clear and simple manner about common issues such as studies, work, hobbies, and will interact in oral and written communications sharing their views and ambitions, suggestions and explanations.
Transversal Skills.
The integrated course aims to develop the learners’ soft skills as well, so that they
can better prepare themselves to university and work life in view of their
future study path or professional career in international environments,
with special reference to the skills of interacting and communicating in
cosmopolitan and multicultural contexts; teamworking; critical thinking;
using tech devices and basic software for educational and training
purposes too.
Per il modulo di Informatica, i temi sono: Gli elementi costitutivi del computer: hardware e software; Il sistema operativo: la struttura e le principali funzioni. Il file system: operazioni di base; Le reti di computer. Internet e il WWW; La posta elettronica, posta elettronica certificata e firma digitale; La sicurezza informatica: virus, phishing, etc.; Software di produttività individuale: elaboratore di testi, fogli elettronici, presentazioni, database.
Per il modulo di Inglese, i contenuti sono suddivisi in unità ed i temi trattati sono: 1) The Coronavirus pandemic 2) The sounds of English 3) Vaccines 4) Allergies 5) Cover Letter 6) Being a health worker 7) International scholarships 8) Opportunities abroad 9) Cultures and diversity 10) Disability and inclusion 11) Conclusion and feedback.
For the module of Informatics, the topics are: Computer essential elements: hardware and software; Operating systems: structure and main functions. File system: basic operations; Computer networks: Internet and ‘www’ meaning; E-mails, certified e-mail and digital signature; Safety settings: virus, phishing; etc.; Softwares for personal use: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databse.
For the module of English, the course content is divided into units and the topics are: 1) The Coronavirus pandemic 2) The sounds of English 3) Vaccines 4) Allergies 5) Cover Letter 6) Being a health worker 7) International scholarships 8) Opportunities abroad 9) Cultures and diversity 10) Disability and inclusion 11) Conclusion and feedback.
Per il modulo di Informatica, l’esame consiste in una prova scritta con 16 domande a risposta multipla, 4 opzioni, una risposta corretta.
Per il modulo di Inglese, l’esame consiste in una prova scritta con trenta domande a risposta multipla.
Criteri di valutazione dell'apprendimento.
Per il modulo di Informatica, la valutazione dell'apprendimento avviene tramite collegamenti pratici ed astratti sui concetti studiati e sulle competenze apprese.
Per il modulo di inglese, la valutazione avviene tramite una prova scritta con quesiti a risposta multipla sulle
tematiche trattate nel programma del corso.
Criteri di misurazione dell'apprendimento.
Per il modulo di Informatica, ad ogni domanda esatta vengono assegnati 2 punti. Non ci sono penalità per le domande errate.
Per il modulo di Inglese, ad ogni domanda esatta viene assegnato un punto. Le domande totali sono trenta. Non ci sono penalità per le domande errate.
Criteri di attribuzione del voto finale.
Per superare l'esame del corso integrato Informatica e inglese è necessario ottenere un punteggio pari o superiore a 18 in ogni modulo ed una media complessiva pari o superiore a 18.
Learning Evaluation Methods.
For the module of Informatics, the exam consists of a written test with 16 multiple-choice questions (4 choices within which only one answer is correct).
For the module of English, the exam consists of a written test with 30 multiple-choice questions.
Learning Evaluation Criteria.
For the module of Informatics, the assessment of the learning outcomes is made on the topics, both practical and theoretical, dealt with during the lessons.
For the module of English, the students’ knowledge is assessed by a written exam with multiple-choice questions on issues included in the course programme.
Learning Measurement Criteria.
For the module of Informatics, each correct answer grants two points. Wrong answers do not decrease the points granted thanks to correct answers.
For the module of English, each correct answer grants one point. The questions are thirty in total. Wrong answers do not decrease the points granted thanks to correct answers.
Final Mark Allocation Criteria.
The exam for the integrated course Informatics and English is passed if the student obtains a grade equal to or higher than 18/30 in each module. The final grade consists of the average grade resulting from the score obtained in each module and it has to be equal to or higher than 18/30.

Per il modulo di inglese, i testi di riferimento sono: “Essential Grammar in Use”, Cambridge University Press 2015, per il livello base (A1-A2 nel QCER); “English Vocabulary in Use – Pre-intermediate and Intermediate – Second Edition”, Cambridge University Press 2009, per i livelli pre-intermedio ed intermedio (A2-B1-B2 nel QCER); “English Grammar in Use – Intermediate – Third Edition”, Cambridge University Press 2009, per il livello intermedio (B1-B2 nel QCER). Inoltre, con particolare riferimento all’ambito disciplinare del corso di studio, si consiglia il seguente testo: “Professional English in Use Medicine”, Cambridge University Press 2007.

For the module of English, the textbooks of reference are: “Essential Grammar in Use”, Cambridge University Press 2015, for the beginner/elementary levels (A1-A2 in the CEFR); “English Vocabulary in Use – Pre-intermediate and Intermediate – Second Edition”, Cambridge University Press 2009, for the elementary/intermediate/upper-intermediate levels (A2-B1-B2 in the CEFR); “English Grammar in Use – Intermediate – Third Edition”, Cambridge University Press 2009, for the intermediate/upper-intermediate levels (B1-B2 in the CEFR). Additionally, with special reference to the specific cultural field, the following textbook is suggested: “Professional English in Use Medicine”, Cambridge University Press 2007.
