Conoscenza degli elementi di Analisi Matematica, Fisica Classica, Idraulica e Idraulica Ambientale.
Knowledge of the basics of Mathematical Analysis, Classical Physics, Hydraulics and Environmental Hydraulics.
Lezioni (60 ore).
Esercitazione (12 ore).
Lectures (60 hours).
Classroom tutorial (12 hours).
The course provides the student with the fundamentals of hydrology and specific knowledge on fluvial and coastal hydraulics. The course also allows the students to acquire the basic engineering knowledge of the fluvial and coastal protection actions. The basis of energy extraction from river flows, sea currents and waves are also provided. Further, the course combines the previous elements with advanced knowledge useful for the design of hydraulic structures.
The student will have the skills to properly understand hydraulic problems, choose and design engineering works and interventions for the protection of river basins and coastal areas. Such skills are fundamental to tackle advanced applicative topics and solve complex engineering problems. The student will be able to make suitable choices in terms of design and to manage engineering works for both preservation of natural water resources and renewable energy purposes. Classroom tutorials will help students in applying the main topics of the course.
The teaching of Hydraulic Engineering and Renewable Energy allows the student to learn how to properly collect and analyze hydraulic data, as well as to communicate their knowledge on the main hydraulic aspects to other people. Such information will be fundamental for future studies and experiences, such as implementation of civil works in the environment, prevention and mitigation of natural risks, reduction of environmental pollution through application of renewable energy devices.

Classroom tutorial (12 hours).
The project consists in resolving some hydraulic engineering problems tackled during the course.
Oral test during which students must demonstrate to have 1) properly assimilated the course topics and 2) the necessary knowledge to develop the project.
To positively pass the exam, the student must demonstrate, through the oral test, to be well acquainted with both theoretical concepts and use of the applicative tools of the Hydraulic Engineering.
Final mark, in thirtieths.
The final mark will be made by summing the marks of five questions, spanning the main topics of the course and related to the project development. Each question will be marked between 0 and 6 points. Honours will be given to those students who, reaching the highest marks, demonstrate a full mastery of the topics.
