Conoscenza degli elementi di Analisi Matematica, Fisica Classica, Idraulica e Idraulica Ambientale.
Knowledge of the basics of Mathematical Analysis, Classical Physics, Hydraulics and Environmental Hydraulics.
Lezioni (60 ore).
Esercitazione (12 ore).
Lectures (60 hours).
Classroom tutorial (12 hours).
The course allows the students to acquire the basic engineering knowledge of the fluvial and coastal protection actions and of the management of water resources. The course face to the specific knowledge of the fluvial and coastal environment and allow to define the flood risk in river and coastal areas. Along with the previous teaching the course provides to integrate the advanced knowledge useful for the design.
To the aim of facing advanced applicative themes and solving even highly complex engineering problems, the student will have to acquire capabilities of understanding the problems and define overflow hazards in river and coastal areas, prepare water management plans for drainage basins, choose and design engineering works and interventions for the arrangement of drainage basins and coastal areas. The student will be also able to make the more suitable choice in terms of design and manage engineering works for the use and reservation of natural water resources.
The implementation of exercise works of solving practical problems on the Hydraulic Engineering, that will be carried out in group, allows the student to acquire the capabilities to work in a team, alone and to face the typical problems of advanced design activities.

Classroom tutorial (12 hours).
The project consists in resolving some hydraulic engineering problems tackled during the course.
Oral test during which students must demonstrate to have 1) properly assimilated the course topics and 2) the necessary knowledge to develop the project.
To positively pass the exam, the student must demonstrate, through the oral test, to be well acquainted with both theoretical concepts and use of the applicative tools of the Hydraulic Engineering.
Final mark, in thirtieths.
The final mark will be made by summing the marks of the oral tests and of the project. The student will obtain max 5 marks for the numerical project. The oral test consists of three questions. Each question will be marked between 0 and 10 points. Honours will be given to those students who, reaching the highest marks, demonstrate a full mastery of the topics.
