English language level at least (CEFR) B1+
The course is designed for those students who have not yet obtained a B2 level certificate in the English language. More specifically, the Cambridge Assessment B2 First qualification will be focused on.
At the end of the course students will have a thorough knowledge of the competence, skills and techniques necessary for passing the Cambridge Assessment B2 First exam.
Activities in the classroom (and in self-study) will involve intensive practice of both receptive language skills (listening and reading) and productive language skills (writing, oral production and oral interaction). In addition, students will work on enhancing their awareness of the structure of the language, as well as on boosting their command of the lexical system, with a view to improving all-round proficiency.
The course will also involve becoming familiar with the formats and tasks of Cambridge Assessment B2 First papers. Information about the exam can be found at www.cambridgeenglish.org/exams-and-tests/first/.
Participants will take part in a variety of activities in the classroom, as well as be making use of the Faculty e-learning platform.
Students' marks will be registered once they have sat the exam and been awarded the required grade.
