PREREQUISITI PREREQUISITES

Gli studenti devono essere iscritti al terzo anno della laurea triennale. Gli studenti dovrebbero avere già un livello B1, acquisito durante il secondo anno del Corso di Laurea.

Students enrolled on the third year of the degree course. Students should have already reached level B1 during their second year of study.


MODALITÀ DI SVOLGIMENTO DEL CORSO DEVELOPMENT OF THE COURSE

Esercitazioni frontali in aula organizzate dal CSAL (Dr. Michael Lacey-Freeman) nel primo semestre del terzo anno. Mirano a migliorare la conoscenza della lingua inglese degli studenti per quanto riguarda la comprensione della lettura, l’ascolto, la conversazione e la pronuncia, portando gli studenti ad un livello intermedio di conoscenza (B1 +).

Face to face classroom lessons organized by CSAL (Dr. Michael Lacey-Freeman). The English course is part of the third year syllabus and the lessons are held in the first semester. They aim to improve the students’ English language skills regarding reading comprehension, listening, speaking and pronunciation, bringing the students to an intermediate level of knowledge (B1+).


RISULTATI DI APPRENDIMENTO ATTESI LEARNING OUTCOMES
Conoscenze e comprensione.

Gli studenti apprenderanno le competenze linguistiche che consentano di comprendere il significato generale di vari tipi di testi scritti e di riconoscere i contenuti significativi di documenti sia generali che inerenti al campo dell’economia.


Capacità di applicare conoscenze e comprensione.

Gli studenti dovranno essere in grado di comprendere il significato generale ed informazioni specifiche di una varietà di testi, e devono essere in grado di leggere rapidamente ed efficientemente.


Knowledge and Understanding.

The students will learn the language skills that enable them to understand the general meaning of various types of written text and to recognize the significant points in both general and subject specific documents related to economics.


Capacity to apply Knowledge and Understanding.

The students must be able to understand general meaning and specific information when reading a variety of texts, and must be able to read quickly and efficiently.

Contenuti (esercitazioni frontali, 3 CFU, 22 ore)
Unità 8 & 9 del libro di testo e tutte la grammatica compresa nel “Grammar Reference”, pagine 138 – 160.

MODALITÀ DI SVOLGIMENTO DELL'ESAME DEVELOPMENT OF THE EXAMINATION
Modalità di valutazione dell'apprendimento.

Il grado di conoscenza acquisito sarà valutato di norma attraverso un test su PC.


Criteri di valutazione dell'apprendimento.

La prova è composta di due parti: Riempimento di spazi vuoti (10 domande) e Lettura (5 domande).


Criteri di misurazione dell'apprendimento.

Il voto finale è attribuito in trentesimi. L’esame si intende superato quando il voto è maggiore o uguale a 18. E’ prevista l’assegnazione del massimo dei voti con lode (30 e lode).


Learning Evaluation Methods.

The students’ knowledge will be tested via a computer-based test.


Learning Evaluation Criteria.

The computer-based test has 2 sections: Cloze Test (10 questions); and Reading (5 questions).


Learning Measurement Criteria.

The final score is a result out of 30, with 18/30 being the minimum pass mark. The maximum score of 30/30 may be given with honours (“cum laude”).
